Conference Carolinas has one program, 17 individuals earn NABC academic awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2023-24 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men’s basketball teams and student-athletes. Conference Carolinas had one program and 17 student-athletes receive the honor.

Young Harris was one of over 360 programs to earn the Team Academic Excellence Award while King, North Greenville and Young Harris had 17 of over 2,100 players with Honors Court honorees.

North Greenville and Young Harris led the programs with seven honorees each while King had three individuals honored. The full list of Conference Carolinas honorees is below.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2023-24 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher while the NABC Honors Count includes junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who finished the 2023-24 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
