Mount Olive's Trimbur selected CSC Academic All-American

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2024 Academic All-America® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. One Conference Carolinas student-athlete earned recognition on Tuesday.

Mount Olive’s Danielle Trimbur garnered second team honors.

Trimbur, a senior from Oley, Pennsylvania carried a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Agriculture Education. This season she finished fourth in the javelin at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 49.19 meters. She also garnered first team All-America honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
