GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas assistant director for communications Travis Chell has been elected to the NCAA Division II College Sports Communicators Board of Directors as the second vice president.

“Conference Carolinas is proud of Travis for being recognized by his peers to become the second vice president for NCAA Division II College Sports Communicators. His experience in the field, along with his work is a testament to a tireless work ethic to best promote collegiate student-athletes," said Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin.

The second vice president post is a two-year appointment. By virtue of being a vice president, Chell is in line to become president of D2SIDA in 2028.

Chell served the past three years as a regional representative on the D2SIDA Board.

He started his current position at Conference Carolinas in March following an 11-year stint at league member King University. He served as the chair of the Conference Carolinas athletic communicators since 2015 and led the department that was selected Conference Carolinas Communications Staff of the Year in 2022-23.
