GREENVILLE, S.C. – UNC Pembroke and Emmanuel University are picked atop the Conference Carolinas 2024-25 Women's Swimming & Diving Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on September 19. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
UNC Pembroke won the 2024 championship and are tied at the top of the poll with Emmanuel, who won the 2022 and 2023 titles. Both teams earned 38 points in the poll with UNC Pembroke taking three first place votes while the Lions earned two first place votes. These two teams account for five of the seven Conference Carolinas titles all-time.
Barton College, a two-time Conference Carolinas champion, took the final two first place votes and is picked third with 32 points. The Bulldogs are followed by Converse University's 27 points in fourth and King University's 23 points in fifth.
Chowan University, 15 points, Lees-McRae College, 13 points, and Salem University, 10 points, round out the final three spots.
The 2024-25 season gets underway the weekend of September 28-29. The Conference Carolinas Swimming & Diving Championships are scheduled for Wednesday, February 19 through Saturday, February 22 at Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, North Carolina.
