Four league programs finish in top 12 of NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Three South Atlantic Conference Carolinas women’s wrestling teams finished in the top 12 of the NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships, led by King University taking fourth. On the men’s side, King earned a pair of ranked wins to finish 11th.

NCAA Women’s Bracket

The second-ranked King women opened Friday with wins over 14th-ranked Lock Haven University (37-11) and sixth-ranked Colorado Mesa University 26-15 to reach the semifinals. However, the Tornado fell to third-ranked North Central College and fifth-ranked McKendree University on Saturday to take fourth.

Also in the women’s bracket, 12th-ranked Emmanuel University and the University of Mount Olive dropped both of their matches on Friday. Emmanuel rebounded with wins over 16th-ranked Sacred Heart University (24-19) and Elmira College 38-8 to finish ninth while Mount Olive finished 12th.

NCAA Men’s NCAA Division II Bracket

In the men’s NCAA Division II bracket, King fell to top-ranked St. Cloud State University to start the tournament on Friday but bounced back with a 26-16 win over 25th-ranked Maryville University. Following defeats to third-ranked UW-Parkside and second-ranked Glenville State University, the Tornado topped ninth-ranked Tiffin University 24-23 on criteria. That win gave the Tornado an 11th-place finish.
