Barton picked to win third straight Conference Carolinas Men's Golf title in preseason poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The men’s golf coaches have picked Barton College as champions in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Preseason Poll, the conference office announced on Thursday.

The two-time defending Bulldogs received 80 points and eight first place votes to sit atop the poll. Erskine College was picked second with 64 points while Shorter University received the final two first place votes and is third with 62 points. King University and Belmont Abbey College are tied for fourth with 51 points.

Young Harris College (43), Emmanuel University (39), North Greenville University (25), University of Mount Olive (24) and Chowan University (11) rounded out the poll.

The 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship will take place at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina from Sunday, April 13-Tuesday, April 15.

The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
