GREENVILLE, S.C. – In the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll, Belmont Abbey College is picked as champions by the league’s men’s tennis coaches, the conference office announced on Friday.
The Crusaders have won the last three Conference Carolinas Tournament titles as they sit atop the poll with 114 points and seven first place votes. Barton College received three first place votes and 99 points as the Bulldogs are picked second ahead of 2024 regular season champion Young Harris College. The Mountain Lions collected 94 points and are just ahead of the University of Mount Olive’s 92 points. The Trojans received one first place vote.
Francis Marion University received the final first place vote and rounded out the top five with 83 points as they were followed by Emmanuel University’s 61 points. North Greenville University (50), Lees-McRae College (41), Shorter University (35), Chowan University (28) and King University (24) rounded out the poll.
The 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Tennis Championship is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 24-Sunday, April 27 at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.
The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
