GREENVILLE, S.C. – The women's lacrosse coaches have picked the University of Mount Olive as champions in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The Trojans have won the last four regular season and tournament titles and are picked to take their fifth straight in 2025 with 100 points and all 10 first place votes. Belmont Abbey College received 91 points and the final first place votes as the Crusaders were picked to finish second, ahead of Young Harris College's 79 points. Emmanuel University (70) and Barton College (61) rounded out the top five.
Converse University (57), North Greenville (50), Shorter University (29), Chowan University (27), Southern Wesleyan University (24) and Lees-McRae College (17) rounded out the poll.
The 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship starts with quarterfinal games on campus sites on Tuesday, April 22. The semifinals will take place at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex at the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina on Friday, April 25. The championship game will be on Sunday, April 27 in Mount Olive.
The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
