GREENVILLE, S.C. – In the 2025 Conference Carolinas Baseball Preseason Poll, North Greenville University is picked as champions by the league's baseball coaches, the conference office announced on Friday.
The Trailblazers received 143 points and 11 first place votes in the poll. They have won the last three regular season titles and won four straight tournament titles from 2018-22. 2024 tournament champion, UNC Pembroke earned one first place vote and 127 points as the Braves are picked to finish second. The University of Mount Olive received the final first place vote and are tied for third with Young Harris College with 119 points.
Barton College rounded out the top five with 82 points as they are followed by Belmont Abbey College's 89 points. Emmanuel University and Francis Marion University are tied for sixth with 70 points and are followed by Erskine College's 68 points.
Shorter University (44), King University (33), Southern Wesleyan University (27) and Chowan University (13) rounded out the poll.
The 2025 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, April 30-Monday, May 5 at CaroMont Health Park and Sims Legion Park in Gastonia, North Carolina.
The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
