CONFERENCE CAROLINAS FOOTBALL North Greenville and Shorter have each recovered seven fumbles this season, ranking them 23rd in NCAA Division II. The UNC Pembroke defense has been stout on the backend, ranking 13th in the country with 10 interceptions. The Chowan defense ranks eighth in the country in passing yards allowed, only allowing 146.1 passing yards per game. North Greenville's turnover margin of 1.57 ranks fourth in the nation. IN THE RANKINGS UNC Pembroke is receiving votes in the AFCA poll. STATISTICAL HIGHLIGHTS For the second straight week, Barton's Jackson Parrish eclipsed the 200-yard mark. He topped last week's record with 221 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a win over Chowan. Bryson Oliver recovered two fumbles for North Greenville last week, he now ranks eighth in NCAA Division II in fumbles recovered. UNC Pembroke's Britton Pascoe also has two fumbles recovered to lead the league. UNC Pembroke has three receivers that rank in the country's top 50 in receiving yards, Jaquan Albright (664 yards), Que Kennedy (599 yards), Malik Brown (497 yards). Keno Jones of Barton ranks fourth in NCAA Division II with 85 tackles for an average of 12.1 per game this season.
