WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Marusa Pesut | Emmanuel | Setter | Freshman | Maribur, Slovenia

Pesut appeared in 12 matches for the Lions in September, posting four double-doubles. The setter averaged 9.36 assists and 2.79 digs per set in the month while adding 25 kills, 15 blocks and 24 aces. She registered career-highs of 50 assists and six aces against Anderson. She also posted what was a career-high of 10 digs in the match before re-setting that mark with 18 digs against UNC Pembroke.
 

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Mandi Pollard | North Greenville | Freshman | Clayton, North Carolina

Pollard debuted with a pair of top 10 finishes in September. In her first career race, she won the Converse Kick-Off with a 5k time of 18:50.3 before taking seventh with a 5k time of 19:24.6 at the Brevard XC Classic.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Aidan Vrazel | Young Harris | Freshman | Atlanta, Georgia

Vrazel led Young Harris in both of the Mountain Lions' races in September and earned a Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week award. He helped the Mountain Lions win the Bruins XC Night Classic where he finished runner-up with a 6k time of 19:34.1. He then covered the 8k distance at the Southern Showcase in 26:11.4 to lead Young Harris.
 

FOOTBALL
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Cillian Bonner | North Greenville | Kicker | Freshman | Lettermacaward, AE (Ireland)

Bonner was perfect in field goals and extra points (5-for-5) so far in the month of September. He made all three of his field goal attempts and has kicked off 11 times for an average of 60 yards per kick and a pair of touchbacks.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Scarlett Hirschy | Young Harris | Midfield | Freshman | Canton, Georgia

Hirschy has been solid for Young Harris in September, accounting for five goals and one game-winner. She tallied both goals, including the game-winner of a 2-1 win over Lees-McRae before adding another goal in a 5-2 win over Chowan. She closed the month by scoring the equalizer in the final three minutes against Belmont Abbey as the contest ended in a 3-3 draw.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Cameron Letterlough | Chowan | Forward | Freshman | Asheboro, North Carolina

Letterlough had a big opening month for Chowan, scoring seven goals and adding two assists. He opened the season with single goals against Concord and Emory & Henry before posting two goals and two assists against Virginia State. The goal against Emory & Henry was the game-winner in the 2-1 win. He later added another goal against Barton before closing the month with goals against Mount Olive and Ferrum. He ranked second in the league in goals and points in September while leading in shots and shots on goal.
 

WOMEN'S GOLF
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Alba Caliz | Emmanuel | Freshman | Madrid, Spain

Caliz played in three tournaments in September for Emmanuel, averaging 74.9 strokes per round in nine rounds. She registered two top 10 finishes, including a third-place finish at the Golden Mane Classic, where she shot 76-75-74 for a total of 225. She followed that by finishing ninth at the NCAA Division II South Regional Preview with scores of 74-73-76 for a total of 223. Caliz closed the month by shooting 226, 74-77-75, at the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational.
 

MEN'S GOLF
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Samuel Ankelstam | Young Harris | Freshman | Stockholm, Sweden

Ankelstam was solid for Young Harris in September, opening with a third-place finish at the King University Invitational. At the tournament, he posted two rounds of three-under 67 to finish one stroke behind the winner with a score of six-under 134. He then finished the Jay Jennison Cup with a tournament total of 224, shooting rounds of 73-78-73.
