CONFERENCE CAROLINAS FOOTBALL The Shorter defense has been opportunistic this year as they rank fifth in NCAA Division II with three defensive touchdowns; third most in the country. The UNC Pembroke secondary has been nealry as impressive as they rank 19th in the country with 10 interceptions this season. The Braves also rank eighth in passing yards allowed at 149.8 yards per game. Chowan and Shorter have capitalized in the red zone, ranking fourth and fifth in the country with percentages of 95.7 and 95.5, respectively. North Greenville has done a solid job on both sides of the ball, ranking eighth in the nation with a turnover Margin of 1.25. The Trailblazers also rank 13th in the country in time of possession at 33:21. The Erskine-Ferrum game saw both Logan Coldren of Erskine and Jahylen Lee of Ferrum each score three rushing touchdowns. IN THE RANKINGS UNC Pembroke is receiving votes in the AFCA poll. UNC Pembroke was also among the 10 schools ranked in the NCAA Super Region Two rankings. The first rankings were alphabetical. STATISTICAL HIGHLIGHTS Tre Robinson of UNC Pembroke ranks fifth in the country with 22 passing touchdowns. UNC Pembroke Que Kennedy's 11 receiving touchdowns ranks second in the country, one away from the leader. Jaquan Albright of UNC Pembroke has 789 yard receiving this year, ranking him fourth in NCAA Division II. Keno Jones of Barton ranks 21st in the country with 5.25 solo tackles per game. His 11.6 tackles per game ranks fouth in NCAA Division II.
