NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country All-Region honorees and Conference Carolinas had three student-athletes from three separate institutions recognized.
USTFCCCA ALL-REGION TEAMS
On the women's side, Megan Knapp of Lees-McRae College and Hailey Morgan of the University of Mount Olive were honored while Kelvin Kibet of UNC Pembroke was recognized on the men's side.
Knapp won the individual title at the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship and was named the league's runner of the year. She covered the 6k distance at the championship in 22:25.1 to win the championship by 30 seconds.
Morgan finished runner-up at the conference championship and was the league's top finisher at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 6k time of 22:38.9 to finish 16th.
Kibet finished fourth at the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championship with an 8k time of 25:48.5 before he was the league's top finisher at the NCAA Southeast Regional. He covered the 10k distance in 32:29.1 to take 18th.
Athletes earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
