Conference Carolinas announces 2025 Women's Soccer Championship bracket

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Francis Marion University has earned the top seed in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship that begins on Wednesday, November 5.

The Patriots won the Conference Carolinas East Division with a record of 9-1 and finished the regular season with a Conference Carolinas record of 12-1, and overall record of 15-1. The 2024 Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Tournament champions earned the top seed with a KPI of .220. Northwest division champion, Belmont Abbey College wasn’t far behind, taking the second seed with a KPI of .196. The Crusaders are 13-4-1 overall and 11-1-1 in conference play.

UNC Pembroke earned the third seed with a KPI of .135 after posting a conference record of 9-3-1 and overall record of 9-6-1. The final bye into the quarterfinals goes to southwest division co-champion Emmanuel University. In a new policy this year, the champion of each division is guaranteed a top four seed. Emmanuel and Young Harris tied for the southwest division championship and Emmanuel earned the fourth seed through a tiebreaker. The teams split the season series, but the Lions went 1-0-1 against Southern Wesleyan University while Young Harris went 0-0-2.

Those four teams have a bye into the quarterfinals that are set for Saturday, November 8.

The final eight teams will all be in action in the first round on Wednesday, November 5 at campus sites. Fifth seed Young Harris, sixth seed Chowan University, seventh seed Lees-McRae College, eighth seed Converse University and will all serve as hosts.

Young Harris finished with a KPI of .092 going 9-5-3 overall and 8-2-3 in league play. The Mountain Lions will face 12th seeded University of Mount Olive (5-10-3, 2-8-3) at 5:00 p.m. Chowan finished with an overall record of 7-8-1, going 7-5-1 in conference play. The Hawks will host 11th-seed Ferrum College (7-8-2, 5-8) at 4:00 p.m.

Converse (6-9-3, 5-6-2) hosts North Greenville University (5-9-3, 5-5-3) at 4:00 p.m. Lees-McRae (7-8-2, 6-6-1) takes on 10th-seed Southern Wesleyan University (6-7-3, 6-4-3).
