GREENVILLE, S.C. – Francis Marion University has earned the top seed in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Championship that starts on Wednesday, November 5.
Francis Marion won the east division and takes the top seed with a KPI of .178. The Patriots finished the regular season 8-3-5 overall and 8-1-3 in league play. Young Harris College earned the second seed on a tiebreaker with Chowan University since their KPI values were within .002. The Mountain Lions won the tiebreaker having beaten Chowan this season. The southwest division champions finished with a KPI of .156, going 12-1-3 overall and 11-1-1 in Conference Carolinas matches.
Chowan finished with a KPI of .154, going 9-3-4 overall and 7-2-3 in conference play. The final bye into the quarterfinals goes to northwest division champion North Greenville University. In a new policy this year, the champion of each division is guaranteed a top four seed. The Trailblazers finished with a 9-5-3 overall record, going 6-4-3 in Conference Carolinas play.
The top four seeds earned a bye into the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 8.
The final eight teams take to the pitch on Wednesday, November 5, hosted by the higher seeds. Fifth seed Barton College, sixth seed Converse University, seventh seed University of Mount Olive and eighth seed Lees-McRae College will all host games on Wednesday.
Barton (7-7-3, 6-4-2) will host 12th seed Ferrum College (4-8-3, 2-8-2) at 6:00 p.m. Converse (7-6-3, 6-4-3) takes on 11th seed Emmanuel University (6-7-3, 6-4-3) at 6:30 p.m. Mount Olive (3-8-6, 2-5-5) faces 10th seeded King University (5-7-4, 4-6-3) at 7:00 p.m. Lees-McRae (4-5-7, 4-4-5) takes on ninth seed Belmont Abbey College (6-4-6, 4-3-6) at 7:00 p.m.
