INDIANAPOLIS – Emmaneul University learned their destination and opponent in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship.
The Lions will travel to Wingate, North Carolina to face top seed and host Wingate University in the opening round of the championship. Emmanuel won the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Championship title, their fourth in program history, on Sunday evening.
Emmanuel also won the Conference Carolinas Southwest Division, going 15-5 in league play. The Lions are 22-9 overall and will be the eighth seed in the southeast region.
NCAA DIVISION II WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET
The Lions will face South Atlantic Conference (SAC) regular season and tournament champions Wingate, who is also ranked 15th in the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. The Bulldogs are 28-1 on the year and went 18-0 in league contests. The Bulldogs have won their last 27 matches as their lone defeat of the season came on September 5 to Lewis University.
The opening round contests will take place on Thursday, December 4 with Emmanuel facing Wingate at 7:00 p.m.
The winner of that match will face the winner of second seed Lenoir-Rhyne University (22-7) and seventh seed Lander University (20-10) on Friday, December 5.
The other half of the bracket features opening round matchups of third seed Anderson University (21-7) and sixth seed Augusta University (25-8) and fourth seed Carson-Newman University (24-5) taking on fifth seed Flagler College (21-12).
The regional championship match will be on Saturday, December 6.
