NCAA Division II Southeast Cross Country Regional preview

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Southeast Regional hosted by Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 at the Wingate Cross Country Course.

The women’s 6k race is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with the men’s 10k race is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.

The 2025 Conference Carolinas women’s cross country champions, North Greenville leads the way as the top-ranked league program in the region at ninth in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region Poll.

The back-to-back-to-back-to-back men’s conference champions, UNC Pembroke, enters as the top Conference Carolinas program in the region at sixth while Young Harris College is ranked seventh. Southern Wesleyan University is ranked ninth in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region Poll.

The regional meet is a qualifying event for the championship finals. The top three teams at each of the eight regional championships will automatically advance to the championship finals while 10 at-large teams will be selected by the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Committee for a total of 34 teams.

In addition to team qualifications, the top two individuals who are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championship finals. All individuals who finish in the top five at the regional meet and are not part of a qualifying team will earn a bid to the championship finals and eight individuals will be selected as at-large qualifiers.

The 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, November 22 at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The official qualifiers will be released on Monday, November 10.
