GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Championship continued with three of the top four seeds winning quarterfinal matches on Saturday. Eighth-seeded Lees-McRae College came up with the biggest result of the day, defeating top seed Francis Marion University 2-1.
No. 8 Lees-McRae def. No. 1 Francis Marion 2-1
Francis Marion took the lead in the 23rd minute on a goal from Elian Aguilar Valencia after he received a through ball from Antonio Garda and deposited it into the far side of the net. The score remained the same until the 74th minute when Landon Robbins took a pace from Conor O’Gorman and placed his shot into the upper right corner. The tie was short-lived as O’Gorman gave Lees-McRae a 2-1 lead with a goal in the 78th minute. The Bobcats made that standup to advance to the semifinals.

No. 4 North Greenville def. No. 12 Ferrum 2-0
North Greenville was solid on both ends of the field, holding Ferrum to only three shots, with none being on goal. On the offensive end, the Trailblazers took 18 shots, placing nine on target. Vinicius Silva gave North Greenville a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 14th minute with an assist to Lucas Di Pasquale. Ezra Hoffman gave North Greenville an insurance goal in the 83rd minute as the Trailblazers went on to take the game 2-0.

No. 3 Chowan def. No. 11 Emmanuel 2-1
Chowan grabbed the lead in the 44th minute on a goal from the right side into the upper right 90. The Hawks extended the lead to 2-0 o a goal in the 56th minute on a cross to the back post that was put into an open net. Emmanuel cut their deficit in half with a goal in the 71st minute off of a free kick to the back post that was deflected into the goal. That was all Chowan need to advance to the semifinals.

No. 2 Young Harris def. No. 7 Mount Olive 5-0
Young Harris, ranked 12thin the country cruised to a quarterfinal win over Mount Olive with three goals in the second half. Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, Thomas Kleinpenning, gave Young Harris the lead with a goal in the second minute. Ignacio Arribere added another in the 25th minute as the Mountain Lions held a 2-0 advantage at the break. Kleinpenning added another goal in the 49th minute before Leho Le Louarn added tallies in the 66th and 81st minutes to give Young Harris the 5-0 victory.
