GREENVILLE, S.C. – Destiny McDonald of Limestone University was selected National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Specialist of the Week while Kacie Kier garnered honorable mention Athlete of the Week recognition.
McDonald had a big pyramid event against Belmont Abbey College and Newberry College. She competed in all three heats, scoring 9.55 out of 9.8 in heat one before back-to-back start values of 10.00 in heats two and three. In heat two, McDonald scored 9.90 before posting a score of 9.85 in heat three.
Kier competed in 12 heats for the Saints, contributing to seven heats with scores of at least 9.50 including scores of 9.90 in the synchronized pyramid, 9.80 in the open pyramid and 9.950 in her tumbling aerial pass.
