Conference Carolinas releases 2025 Atlantic Casualty Men's Basketball Championship bracket

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced the 2025 Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship bracket after the conclusion of the regular season on Wednesday evening.

UNC Pembroke (21-6, 18-2) and Emmanuel University (20-8, 18-2) earned the top two seeds and byes into the semifinals. The Braves won the East Division and took the top seed with a KPI of .209 while Emmanuel won the Southwest Division takes the second seed with a KPI of .201. Chowan University (17-9, 14-6) earned the third seed and a bye into the quarterfinals with a KPI of .149.

Young Harris College (20-8, 15-5) will be the fourth seed with a KPI of .109 and will host first and second round games on Sunday, March 2 and Monday, March 3. Ninth seed University of Mount Olive (11-17, 9-11) will take on 10th seed Francis Marion University (10-18, 8-12) in the opening round. The winner will take on the host Mountain Lions on Monday night.

King University (17-11, 15-5) earned the fifth seed with a KPI of .103 and will host first and second round games. Eight seed Lees-McRae College (13-15, 10-10) will take on 11th seed Erskine College (10-18, 6-14) on Sunday night. The winner will take on the host and Northwest Division champion Tornado on Monday night.

The final host is six seed Barton College (15-13, 11-9) who finished with a KPI of .028. The Bulldogs will host a contest between seventh seed Converse (11-15, 10-10) and 12th seed North Greenville University (10-19, 6-14) on Sunday night. The winner will face Barton on Monday night.

Erskine earned the 11th seed based on a tiebreaker with North Greenville because the team's KPI values were within .002. The teams split the head-to-head series and both teams had the same conference record. The tiebreaker came down to the results against Barton with Erskine going 1-0 and North Greenville going 0-2, giving the Flying Fleet the 11th seed.

The three first and second-round winners will advance to the quarterfinals that will be held at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Friday, March 7. The semifinals and final follow on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday March 9 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.

The Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Basketball Championships will also feature the Spirit Championships for the third consecutive year, which includes being held in the main arena of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium for the second straight year. The Spirit Championships are scheduled for the morning of Saturday, March 8.
