WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Hannah Hill | North Greenville | Senior | Sprints | Simpsonville, South Carolina

Hill set an NCAA provisional mark in the heptathlon and is currently ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II for the event. She set new personal bests the javelin, shot put, long jump, and also set a school record in the javelin. She won the heptathlon with 4,973 points. Hill posted a shot put of 9.27 meters, javelin throw of 39.68 meters and long jump of 5.6 meters.

Futoria Harris | Mount Olive | Freshman | Sprints | Fayetteville, North Carolina

Harris registered two NCAA provisional standards and two victories while competing at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach. She competed in her first outdoor meet of the season and set a new Mount Olive record in the 200 meters after crossing the line in 23.68 seconds to place first overall. Her mark hits the NCAA standard and ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in the early portion of the season. Additionally, the 4x100 meter relay team of senior Lasira Nicholson, Harris, sophomore Heavan Roberts, and junior Haniyyah Johnson set an NCAA standard and finished first overall after posting a time of 46.21 seconds, which sits ninth in NCAA Division II.
 

MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Ryan Wilson-McCoy | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Jumps | Roanoke, Virginia

Wilson-McCoy reset his program record and hit the NCAA mark in the triple jump with a first-place finish at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. He leaped a distance of 15.24 meters, which ranks sixth in NCAA Division II.

Gavin McFadden | Converse | Senior | Sprints | Rock Hill, South Carolina

McFadden ran a 21.04 in the 200 meters at the Weems Baskin Invitational, placing second in the event at the meet (first among non-NCAA Division II competitors). This time puts him first in both the southeast region and Conference Carolinas and fourth in all of Division II. He also set a new school record in the event and hit an NCAA provisional mark.
 

SOFTBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Laci Beest | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Designated Player/First Base | Pikeville, North Carolina

A native of Pikeville, North Carolina, Best boasted an impressive .600 batting average (9-for15) with two doubles, eight runs batted in, and two runs scored, as the Trojans swept a pair of league series. On Wednesday, she finished 4-for-8 at the plate with two doubles, six runs batted in, and one run scored in doubleheader sweep at Barton. Over the weekend, Best registered five more hits with two runs batted in and one run scored in a sweep versus Young Harris.

Hailey King | Mount Olive | Freshman | Pitcher | Harrells, North Carolina

In the circle, King delivered an outstanding week after posting a 2-0 record with one save while boasting a stellar 1.87 ERA in 15.0 innings pitched. In three appearances, she tallied two complete games with six strikeouts while holding the opponent to a .222 batting average. On Wednesday, she tossed a complete game victory with only two runs surrendered on three hits with four strikeouts in a 7-2 win over Barton in game two. On the Sunday, King closed out the final inning of game one against Young Harris to record the save. She earned the game two victory in the start after yielding two earned runs on nine hits with two strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.

BASEBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Charlie Bussey III | Francis Marion | Sophomore | Infield | Graniteville, South Carolina

In four games last week, Bussey III hit .688 (11-for-16) with two doubles and a home run. He also scored nine runs and drove in four while going 3-for-3 on stolen bases. Defensively, he did not commit an error in 33 fielding chances with 32 putouts. He started by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in mid-week loss to Lander. Over the weekend, Bussey III went 8-for-12 in three-game sweep of Southern Wesleyan with seven runs scored and four runs batted in. In the opening game against Southern Wesleyan, he went 5-for-5 with four runs scored and drove in one. He closed the series with a go-ahead two-run home run to snap a 4-4 deadlock in the seventh inning.

PITCHER OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Spencer Cipro | Belmont Abbey | Senior | Pitcher | Brookfield, Massachusetts

Cipro earned the win, tossing seven innings at Erskine on Saturday. He finished with a career-high 10 strikeouts and allowed just one run in the victory. In the complete game, Cipro only allowed the one run on seven hits and three of his 10 strikeouts were looking.
 

ACROBATICS & TUMBLING
ATHLETE OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Kaylin Francavilla | Coker | Senior | Tumbler | Lone Tree, Colorado

Francavilla competed in 10 heats across all six events in Coker’s upset win against Lander. The senior contributed to six scores above 9.4 including three season-high scores in the five element acro, inversion pyramid, and quad tumbling heats. Her night was highlighted by a 9.40/9.70 in the inversion pyramid heat, a 9.50/10.00 in duo pyramid, and a 9.65/10.00 in the open pyramid to help the Cobras win the pyramid event.

She also helped post high scores of 9.45/10.00 in five element acro, a 9.45/10.00 in compulsory pyramid, and a 9.40/10.00 in compulsory toss with a win in the compulsory event. Francavilla also played a huge role in the team event competing in the running tumbling section, both toss sections, both pyramid sections, and both acro sections.

SPECIALIST OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Janai Brown | Limestone | Senior | Base/Backbase | Lilburn, Georgia

Brown competed in all three pyramid heats against Converse where she assisted in an overall pyramid event score of 28.95/29.80 accumulating less than one point in deductions across all three heats. Her highlights in the pyramid event include scoring a 9.70/10.00 in duo pyramid, 9.80/10.00 open pyramid, and a 9.45/9.80 in the inversion pyramid.
