GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas is gearing up to host its 2025 Men’s Tennis Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina starting Thursday, April 24 and concluding Sunday, April 27.
Belmont Abbey College earned the regular season title and top seed with an 8-1 record in conference play while going 20-16 overall. They earn a bye into the semifinals along with second seed Converse University who went 7-2 in league matches and 11-5 overall. Both will play their first match on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Francis Marion University earned the third seed with a 7-2 record in conference duals and 11-6 overall record. The Patriots earn a bye into the quarterfinals where they will face the winner of six seed Emmanuel University and seventh seed Young Harris College at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Emmanuel (9-10, 6-3) will face Young Harris (6-15, 4-5) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Two other matches open the tournament on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. as fourth seed University of Mount Olive (10-10, 7-2) takes on ninth seed North Greenville University (7-15, 3-6) and fifth seed Barton College (15-7, 7-3) faces eighth seed Lees-McRae College (11-8, 4-5). These two winners will then matchup at 1:00 p.m. on Friday with the winner taking on Belmont Abbey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The championship match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
