Conference Carolinas announces 2025 men's lacrosse all-conference awards

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced their men's lacrosse all-conference awards prior to the start of the 2025 Men's Lacrosse Championship semifinals on Friday.

The all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.

Caden Castle of North Greenville University was selected offensive player of the year. Castle ranked third in Conference Carolinas with 46 total goals and 3.07 goals per game. He also ranked in the league's top 10 in assists with 20 total for an average of 1.33 assists per game. In total, Castle posted 66 points for an average of 4.40 per game, both ranking third in the league

The University of Mount Olive's Alan Usher garnered defensive player of the year honors for the second straight year. He posted 15 caused turnovers for an average of 1.25 per game. Usher led a defense that only allowed 9.25 goals per game and ranked second in the league with 117 goals allowed.

Garvin Johnson of Lees-McRae College was tabbed freshman of the year. In his first year on campus, Johnson scored 27 goals for an average of 2.70 per game, ranking him fifth in Conference Carolinas. He also ranked 12th with an average of 3.10 points per game with 31 total points. Defensively, he ranked second in the league with 71 ground balls for an average of 7.10 per game.

Emmanuel University head coach Lance Olson was selected coach of the year. Olson led the Lions to an 8-6 overall record, going 3-4 in Conference Carolinas play to finish in a tie for third in the regular season standings.
