GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced their 2025 men’s tennis all-conference awards prior to the start of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Tennis Championship on Thursday.
The all-conference awards were voted on by the Conference Carolinas men’s tennis head coaches.
Max Borisov of Lees-McRae College was tabbed as player of the year. He owns an overall record of 18-0, all at No. 1 singles, including a 9-0 mark in Conference Carolinas matches. Playing primarily at No. 2 doubles, Borisov owns a 5-3 mark in conference doubles matches.
Barton College’s Daniel Lopez garnered freshman of the year honors going 7-2 in conference matches. Lopez owns an overall singles record of 17-5 playing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. In doubles, he owns an overall record of 15-5, going 6-2 in conference matches playing primarily at the third flight.
Belmont Abbey College head coach Michael Salomon was selected coach of the year for the second time, with the last coming in 2022. He guided the Crusaders to the Conference Carolinas regular season title with an 8-1 record in league duals and overall record of 20-16.
