INDIANAPOLIS – In the second set NCAA Regional rankings, two Conference Carolinas members are ranked men's tennis and women’s tennis with two ranked in softball. In the first set of baseball rankings, Conference Carolinas has five members ranked.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Baseball, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.
In women’s tennis, Lees-McRae College is ranked seventh with a record of 13-3 while Erskine College is ranked eighth with a 14-5 record.
Both Belmont Abbey College and Barton College are ranked in men’s tennis. Belmont Abbey is ranked ninth with a record of 13-7 while the Bulldogs are 10th with a 12-7 record.
In softball, Francis Marion University is ranked first with an overall record of 43-3 and region mark of 41-3. Barton is also ranked ninth with an overall record of 25-21 and region mark of 23-21.
The first set of baseball rankings are ranked in alphabetical order before the second set on Wednesday, April 30 will be ranked 1-10.
Belmont Abbey (31-14), the University of Mount Olive (25-19), North Greenville University (40-9), UNC Pembroke (26-19) and Young Harris College (34-12) are all ranked in the first set of baseball rankings.
