Emmanuel, Young Harris win 2025 Women's Lacrosse Championship quarterfinal matches

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship opened with a pair of quarterfinal contests on Tuesday. Young Harris College and Emmanuel University won their respective contests to advance to Friday's semifinals.

Fourth seed Young Harris came back to defeat fifth seed North Greenville University 14-13. The Trailblazers led 3-1 after the first quarter and 6-3 at the half before taking a 7-4 lead early in the third quarter. However, Young Harris scored four straight goals to take an 8-7 lead before North Greenville regained the lead with three straight goals. Back-to-back Mountain Lion goals evened the score again, but North Greenville led 11-10 going to the fourth quarter.

The Trailblazers scored the first goal of the quarter before back-to-back Young Harris goals evened the score at 13 with 3:23 remaining. Brooklyn Kiest then gave Young Harris a 14-13 lead with a goal with 1:54 remaining. The Mountain Lions made that standup, taking the contest 14-13.

Kiest led the way for Young Harris with six goals while Riley Parker added four goals. Kylie Keen led North Greenville with six goals while Isabella Ortiz added four goals and one assist.

Young Harris advances to take on top seed Belmont Abbey College on Friday at 4:45 p.m. The semifinals and final will be hosted at Mount Olive.

Third seed Barton College jumped ahead 5-3 after the first 15 minutes before sixth seed Emmanuel came back and pulled within 8-7 at the half. The Lions then took an 11-9 lead after the third quarter before a four hour weather delay. After the break, Emmanuel scored the first two goals of the quarter and held on for the 15-10 victory.

Emmanuel advances to face second seed Mount Olive in the second semifinal on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
