SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Four-time defending Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling champion, Limestone University competed in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling (NCATA) National Championship on Thursday. The Saints fell to top seed Baylor University in the third quarterfinal.

The eighth-seeded Saints scored 35.175 in the compulsory event before scoring 26.075 in the acro event, but were outscored by the top-ranked Bears. Limestone then scored 28.675 in the pyramid event, but trailed Baylor 96.700-89.925 at halftime.
Limestone opened the second half with a toss event score of 26.900 before scoring 52.850 in the tumbling event. The Saints closed the meet with a team event score of 77.050 to finish with a total of 246.725. Baylor scored 279.670 to take the win and advance to the semifinals.
Limestone, along with Conference Carolinas member Lander University will compete in the NCATA Event Finals on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (ET).
