Day 1 at Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The first day of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium featured finals in the hammer throw and 10k; while the multi-events got started.
University of North Carolina at Pembroke (25) leads the way in the men's events after the two finals, with a slim edge of University of Mount Olive (24). North Greenville is at 11, while Southern Wesleyan 8 and Lees-McRae 6 round out the top 5.
In the women's track & field Mount Olive (30) is ahead of North Greenville (17), with Converse 12, UNC Pembroke 10 and Lees-McRae 6 rounding out the top 5.
In the men’s hammer Dominic Nutter of Mount Olive has the 6
th best throw in NCAA D2 with a winning mark of 61.89m. The women’s hammer was also won by a Mount Olive student-athlete as Elin Rydqvist won with a mark of 56.63, 16
th best in NCAA D2.
The men’s 10k had UNCP Nolan Junker winning in a sprint with fellow teammate Moureen Kimaiyo winning the women’s 10k.
