University of Mount Olive wins the 2025 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Men’s Track & Field Championships

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –  The Trojans of the University of Mount Olive captured the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium with a score of 193 points.

In second place was Converse University as they scored 147, and UNC-Pembroke finishing in third with 132 points.
The Trojans scored 27 points in the triple jump, 24 in the discus and hammer throws, 23 in the shot put, 16 in the long jump and 13 in the high jump.

The top performers in the meet for the Trojans were Holden Gerth with 2nd place in the javelin and high jump. Nic Cloud with 14 points, 2nd in the shot put and 6th in the hammer and discus throw. Dominic Nutter with first place in the hammer throw and 5th place in the discus throw.

Devron Davis – Converse – 1st in the 100m; 1st in 200m and 1st in the 4x100m
Male Outdoor Field Athlete of the Meet
Trent Brown – UNCP – 1st in Decathlon; 7th in the Javelin; 6th in the Pole Vault
Male Freshman of the Year
Happy Lea – Southern Wesleyan – 1st in 400m hurdles; 1st in the 110m hurdles; 6th in the javelin.
