GREENVILLE, S.C. – Prior to the start of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship, the league announced their all-conference awards.
The all-conference awards were selected by the league’s head coaches.
Francis Marion University earned three of the four major awards, player of the year, pitcher of the year and coach of the year.
Charlie Bussey III garnered player of the year honors after leading the league with a .429 batting average. His 76 hits and 19 doubles rank third in the league as he has driven in 55 runs and scored 60 runs, both ranking in the league’s top 10. Bussey III also owns a .540 on base percentage and .667 slugging percentage.
His teammate, Rijnaldo Euson was tabbed pitcher of the year. He led Conference Carolinas with seven complete games and ranked second with an ERA of 2.76 while posting an 11-2 record. Euson tossed two shutouts and registered one save in 91.1 innings pitched. In that time he posted 109 strikeouts and held opponents to a .197 batting average.
Matty Brown of North Greenville University was selected freshman of the year after leading the league with an ERA of 2.23. In his first year in Tigerville, Brown went 9-0 and struck out 60 batters in 64.2 innings. He held opponents to a .220 batting average.
In his first year in Florence, Jeff Jefferson was tabbed coach of the year. He guided Francis Marion to a 39-11 overall record, going 22-8 in Conference Carolinas play as the Patriots earned the top seed in the upcoming championship.
