Erskine moves atop leaderboard following second round of 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship

SNOW HILL, N.C. – Erskine College moved into the team lead at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Championship following Monday's second round. Erskine's Maddie McNeece sits atop the individual leaderboard with 18 holes remaining.

The championship is being contested at the par 72, 5863-yard course at Cutter Creek Golf Club.

Erskine started the day tied for fourth, seven strokes behind, but the Flying Fleet shot 305 on Monday to claim the top spot. Erskine's tournament total of 623 has the Flying Fleet ahead of UNC Pembroke by five strokes and Barton College by six strokes.

McNeece was tied for sixth after 18 holes, and now leads the tournament by two strokes following a round of even par 72 in the second round. She owns a tournament total of 148, giving her a two stroke lead over Abigail Cheney of Shorter University, Terry Schmitt of Barton College and Tamara Brito of Young Harris College.

The second round of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Championship will get underway at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8.
