Conference Carolinas has strong presence on NWCA Scholar All-America awards

MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-America and Team Scholar All-America awards on Monday. Conference Carolinas had individuals from 12 institutions honored as well as three programs in the Team Scholar All-America award.

Newberry College finished third in the NCAA Division II Men's Team Scholar All-America list with a 3.525 GPA. The University of Mount Olive was 18th with a GPA of 3.302 while the University of Montevallo came in 22nd with a GPA of 3.246.

NWCA NCAA DIVISION II MEN'S SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

The NCAA Division II Men's Scholar Academic program garners the team GPA from the 10 starters a program puts out at it's respective NCAA Super Regional tournament.

Conference Carolinas had 52 individuals from 12 institutions earn NWCA NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-America honors, led by 11 from Newberry. Coker University followed with eight while Montevallo had seven. Lander University came in next with six while the University of Mount Olive followed with five. Emmanuel University, Lincoln Memorial University and UNC Pembroke all had three individuals recognized while Emory & Henry University and Shorter University had two honorees each. Belmont Abbey College and King University rounded out the group with one honoree each.

NWCA NCAA DIVISION II MEN'S SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA HONOREES

These exceptional student-athletes have excelled both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following criteria: All-American at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships and 3.00 GPA, national qualifier to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships and 3.25 GPA, competed in four or more events and 3.5 GPA.
