Norum of King earns berth to NCAA Division II National Championships, Barton competes at NCAA Regional

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Åasmund Norum of King University finished the 2025 NCAA South/Southeast Regional third, earning a qualification spot at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships. Barton College competed as a team, finishing 14th.

Norum finished third, shooting nine-under 207 in the three-round tournament. He opened with a round of three-under 69 before shooting six-under 66 in the second  round. Norum closed with a round of even par 72 in the final round to take third.

RESULTS

Barton finished 14th with a team total of 292, led by Giavanni Bruno who finished 11th with a score of three-under 213. The Bulldogs carded a 295 in the first round before shooting 292 in the second round. Barton closed with a round of 291 to finished with a tournament total 878.

Norum will be the first Conference Carolinas men's golfer to compete at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships since 2022 with Samuel Trueba of King competed as an individual and finished third. The championship is scheduled to start on May 19 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
