Francis Marion's Konz, Converse's Watson selected CSC Academic All-America

AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced on Tuesday the 2025 Academic All-America® softball teams. Emily Konz of Francis Marion University and Sydney Watson of Converse University were recognized.

Konz, an outfielder, garnered second team honors. The senior carried a 3.77 GPA while majoring in accounting. Konz earned all-region honors from both the NFCA and D2CCA while earning All-America honors from the D2CCA. She also garnered first team all-conference honors and all-tournament team recognition.

Watson earns CSC Academic All-America honors for the third time as she garnered third team recognition. The senior registered a 3.67 GPA while majoring in elementary education. Watson also earned all-region honors from the D2CCA and first team all-conference honors.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
