GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas had seven individuals honored when the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their All-American Scholars this week.
Barton College and Converse University each had one individual recognized while Young Harris College had five recognized individuals.
WGCA SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN SELECTIONS
Barton’s Terra Schmitt was honored for the third time while Converse’s Ellie Lim and Young Harris’ Tamara Brito, Connor Johnson and Lucy Wiegert garnered honors for the second time.
A total of 1,499 student-athletes were recognized. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and have played in 50 percent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team’s conference championship.
