Conference Carolinas has two programs, 24 individuals earn NABC academic awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men’s basketball teams and student-athletes. Conference Carolinas had two programs and 24 student-athletes receive the honor.

Both North Greenville University and Young Harris College earned team academic excellence awards. On the honors court, Belmont Abbey College had three individuals recognized while Erskine College and North Greenville each had five individuals honored. Young Harris led the way with 11 individuals recognized.

Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
