Six Conference Carolinas men's golfers recognized as Cobalt All-America Scholars by GCAA

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) announced the 2024-25 Men’s Golf Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars and Conference Carolinas had six individuals recognized from two institutions.

From Barton College had Giovanni Bruno, Josemaría Gutiérrez Gonzáles, Ryan Jahr, Mitchell Soma recognized while Young Harris College’s Ruben Lindstrom and Will Ranieri also garnered recognition from the GCAA.

In all, 207 NCAA Division II student-athletes were recognized from 78 institutions.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate’s degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
