- UNC Pembroke opened their Conference Carolinas slate with a 41-14 win over Ferrum last week.
- Shorter earned their first win of the season, topping Virginia University Lynchburg 57-20 a week ago.
North Greenville nearly upset 3/4 West Florida last week, falling 25-17.
IN THE RANKINGS
- UNC Pembroke continues to receive votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) D2 Coaches Poll presented by Hudl. The Braves received six votes in the latest poll.
- This marks the third week the Braves have been in the poll this year.
STATISTICAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Week Three saw many big offensive performances, highlighted by Erskine's 590 total yards, including 424 passing from Ryan Killmer.
- Shorter posted 320 rushing yards, 120 from Conference Carolinas Player of the Week Charles Alia. The Hawks also scored 57 points.
- The UNC Pembroke defense was stout, allowing a season-low 182 yards and posting a league-high seven sacks against Ferrum.
- North Greenville's Eric Rasheed has two of the three Conference Carolinas games with two receiving touchdowns, both coming in the last two weeks against Barton and 3/4 West Florida.
