GREENVILLE, S.C. – The first Conference Carolinas men's and women's soccer NPI rankings have been released with Young Harris College atop the men's rankings and UNC Pembroke atop the women's rankings.
NPI is the metric NCAA Division II will be using to select the NCAA Championship fields this year. The Conference Carolinas NPI will only apply to conference contests to seed the conference championships.
In the case of tiebreakers (which include any NPI values within the margin of error of 0.1), should they exist, the conference will use the current tiebreaking procedure.
The NPI rankings can be accessed via the current standings page on each sport page at conferencecarolinas.com. The men's rankings direct link is available

This marks the fourth year Conference Carolinas has used a metric to seed the conference tournament and the first year NPI will be used. The last three years, KPI was used to seed the conference tournaments. The metric will also be used in women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball, men's and women's tennis.
