GREENVILLE, S.C. – The All-South Atlantic Conference Carolinas women's wrestling awards for 2025-26 season were released on Friday.
The 2025-26 all-conference awards were chosen by the head coaches in Conference Carolinas.
Karissa Turnwall was selected SACC Wrestler of the Year for the second straight season. A season ago she earned co-wrestler of the year honors. This season, Turnwall is 20-0, going undefeated in SACC matches. She is also ranked third at 117 pounds in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) rankings.
For the second straight year, the SACC Freshman of the Year hails from King University. Ruby Julien-Newsom was tabbed freshman of the year following an undefeated SACC mark. She is currently ranked 10th at 138 pounds and was ranked as high as seventh at 145 pounds earlier this season.
King head coach Bret Frey was selected SACC Coach of the Year after guiding the Tornado to their second straight SACC regular season title with a perfect 7-0 record in league matches. The Tornado own an overall record of 11-2.
