South Atlantic Conference Carolinas to send 16 individuals to inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – South Atlantic Conference Carolinas will send 16 individuals from four institutions to the first NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships. Allen University, Emmanuel University, King University and the University of Mount Olive will all be represented on March 6-7 in Coralville, Iowa.

King enters ranked tied for fifth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll while Emmanuel is ranked 10th. All four of the King qualifiers are ranked while two of Emmanuel’s six qualifiers are ranked. Mount Olive follows Emmanuel with five qualifiers while Allen has one individual that qualified.

This will be the first year of NC women's wrestling championships, as the sport was added as the NCAA's 91st official championship sport in January 2025. The 2026 championships will be held March 6-7 in Coralville, Iowa at Xtream Arena.
