Burkhalter went 4-0 last week for Belmont Abbey, taking a pair of wins at No. 2 doubles and wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. In doubles, she topped Daria Godlewska and Emilie Bergmann of West Virginia Wesleyan 6-0 and Auset Blige and Airez Gilbert-Simons of Johnson C. Smith 6-2. In singles, Burkhalter topped West Virginia Wesleyan's Renata Pozzobon 6-1, 6-2 and Johnson C. Smith's Divija Mannenin 6-4, 6-2.

Brian Karenzi | Ferrum | Freshman | Kigali, Rwanda
Karenzi won two No. 5 singles matches and split a pair of No. 2 doubles matches. He topped Gary Huang of Longwood 6-3, 6-3 and Gabriel Kian of Columbia 6-3, 6-2 in singles play. In doubles, he topped Longwood's Marko Mrdak and Rufus Plane 6-1.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Shelby Herbert | Barton | Sophomore | Charlotte Hall, Maryland
Herbert finished runner-up and was the top NCAA Division II finisher at the Sapona Intercollegiate. She shot 76 in the opening round before carding a round of two-over 74 in the second round. She ended the tournament with a stroke total of 150, only one shot behind the individual winner.

Payson Shreeve | Ferrum | Freshman | Quarterback/Saftey | Gilbert, Arizona
In wins over Lindsey Wilson and Hollins, Shreeve accounted for 593 passing yards, going 35-for-51 for 12 touchdowns. She went 22-for-37 for 401 yards and six touchdowns against Lindsey Wilson and 13-for-14 for 192 yards and six touchdowns against Hollins.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Kennedy Vannoy | Lees-McRae | Sophomore | Wide Receiver/Linebacker | Villa Park, Illinois
In the Conference Carolinas opening games, Vannoy accounted for 14 tackles, two interceptions and one pass breakup in wins over Chowan and Emmanuel.

BOWLER OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Canan Bademci | Belmont Abbey | Senior | Patchogue, New York
Bademci averaged 182.5 pins over 10 games in February for Belmont Abbey. She posted two top 60 finishes at NCAA Division I events and a high score of 219. At the Flyer Invitational she finished 59th with an average of 189.8 over five games. She then finished 39th at the Stallings Invitational with a five-game average of 175.2.

BOWLER OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Lance Owens | Belmont Abbey | Junior | New Bern, North Carolina
Owens bowled in all nine individual games for Belmont Abbey in February, earning a pair of top 20 finishes. He averaged 212.7 pins over those nine games and posted seven games over 200 with a high of 267. He finished 15th at the Tier 1 57th annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic with a five-game average of 227.4, with all five games over 200. He also finished 19th at the Thomas Burris Memorial with a four-game average of 214.3.
