Bryant won the triple jump at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with an NCAA provisional mark of 13.11 meters.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Essence Slate | Mount Olive | Senior | Sprints/Jumps | Anchorage, Alaska
Slate set the Mount Olive school record with an NCAA provisional time in the 400 meters. She finished second at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with a time of 55.19 seconds. She also finished seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 24.38 seconds.

Harrison finished third in the hammer throw at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with an NCAA provisional mark of 57.73 meters.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Devron Davis | Converse | Senior | Sprints | Columbia, South Carolina
Davis had a solid weekend, finishing the 200 meters in 20.84 seconds and the 100 meters in 10.60 seconds. He ranks sixth in the southeast region and third in Conference Carolinas in the 100 meters. He also helped the 4x100 meter relay team post the third-fastest time in the country at 39.98 seconds.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Samantha Taylor | Mount Olive | Senior | Outfield/Catcher | Winterville, North Carolina
In six games last week, five Mount Olive wins, Taylor hit .455 with 10 hits, eight runs scored and 13 runs batted in. She also slugged five home runs and one double. She started with two hits, one home run in game one against Barton before posting two hits, including a double in game two. She then drove in three and scored twice with a home run in game two against Southern Wesleyan before ripping three home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Erskine. She drove in three on two hits in game one before driving in four on three hits, two home runs in game two.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Julia Moore | Young Harris | Freshman | Pitcher/Utility | Canton, Georgia
Moore went 2-0 with a save and 0.46 ERA in 15.1 innings pitched last week for Young Harris. She tossed complete games against UNC Pembroke and Chowan. In the 2-0 win over the Braves, she allowed only six hits and struck out six while she allowed one run on four hits and struck out seven in the 7-1 win over Chowan. Between those two starts, she tossed the final 1.1 innings and struck out three in a 4-2 win over Chowan.

Joe Whitaker | Belmont Abbey | Senior | Infield/Outfield
In five games last week, Whitaker hit .526 with 10 hits, five runs scored and 12 runs batted in. He started with three hits, including two doubles and two runs scored in a 14-9 win over Lenoir-Rhyne. He then drove in two on one hit in an 11-8 win over Augusta. The senior closed the week with two hits in each of the three games against King. He laced home runs in games one and three and ripped a double in game two. Whitaker also drove in two runs in game one against King, four in game two and three in game three.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Spencer Cipro | Belmont Abbey | Graduate | Pitcher | Brookfield, Massachusetts
Cipro tossed a shutout against King, allowing only three hits over seven innings. He only needed 78 pitches to complete the victory and struck out two.

Ashlyn Shively | Lander | Junior | Top | Pinehurst, North Carolina
Shively helped Lander set two program records and four more season-high scores in their meet win over Converse. The junior helped the Bearcats to program-high scores of 9.90 in pyramid heat 2 and 9.75 in toss heat 1. That score of 9.75 also matches the best score in the country this season. Shively also helped Lander to season-high scores of 9.35 in compulsory acro, 9.90 in acro heat 1, 9.65 in acro heat 3 and 9.85 in pyramid heat 3.
SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Zoey Franklin | Mars Hill | Junior | Top | Rome, Georgia
Franklin competed as the top for Mars Hill in the pyramid event, helping the Lions to three scores of 9.75 or better and an event score of 29.55. That event score set a Mars Hill program record as did her score of 9.95 in heat 1. She also scored 9.75 in heat 2 and 9.85 in heat 3.
