SACC has six placers at inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships

CORALVILLE, Iowa – The South Atlantic Conference Carolinas (SACC) had six placers at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships. King University was the highest team finisher at seventh.

King finished seventh, followed by Emmanuel University at 14th. The University of Mount Olive finished 35th and Allen University finished 46th.

RESULTS

Stella Steigler of King finished third at 160 pounds while Karissa Turnwall of Emmanuel finished fourth at 117 pounds. Also from King, Virginia Foard finished sixth at 124 pounds, Avery Kibelbek finished seventh at 110 pounds and Ruby Julien-Newsom finished eight at 138 pounds. Emmanuel’s Janida Garcia also finished sixth at 131 pounds.

McKendree University won the team title with the University of Iowa finishing runner-up.
