SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Erskine College ended the first day with the team lead at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Championship. Ella Wiklander of Belmont Abbey College holds the individual lead after 18 holes.
The championship is being contested at the par 72, 5724 yard course at The Carolina Country Club.

Erskine is on top the team leaderboard by 10 strokes over Belmont Abbey with an opening round of 296. Emmauel University is in third at 313 and UNC Pembroke follows with a score of 315.
Wiklander posted a round of one-under 71 to lead Lina Lindqvist of Erskine and Kate Matthews of North Greenville University by one stroke.
The second round of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Championship will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12.
