GREENVILLE, S.C. – The field for the inaugural Conference Carolinas Women’s Flag Football Championship is set as Wingate University and Ferrum College shared the regular season title. The championship starts with four quarterfinal matches on Friday, April 17 before culminating with the final on Sunday, April 19 at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
Both Wingate and Ferrum completed the regular season with 8-1 records in Conference Carolinas games as Wingate earned the top seed based on a win against Ferrum. The Bulldogs went 8-1 overall while Ferrum posted a 15-3 record.
Lees-McRae College and Barton College finished with 7-2 Conference Carolinas records with Lees-McRae taking the third seed based on the head-to-head result. The Bobcats went 10-7 overall while Barton posted a 10-2 record.
Emmanuel University (9-7, 5-4) earned the fifth seed while King University (3-9, 4-5) earned the sixth seed. The University of Mount Olive (7-7, 3-6) and Mount St. Mary’s University (5-10, 2-7) round out the tournament as the seventh and eighth seeds, respectively.
Wingate will face Mount St. Mary’s in the first quarterfinal at 12:00 p.m. before Barton faces Emmauel at 2:15 p.m. Lees-McRae then faces King at 4:45 before the day finishes with Ferrum taking on Mount Olive.
The 2026 Conference Carolinas Women’s Flag Football Championship semifinals are scheduled for 3:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 with the final scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19.
