GREENVILLE, S.C. -The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-America teams for men’s basketball and Conference Carolinas had one honoree. Gerren Jones of Ferrum College was recognized.
Jones earned first team All-Conference Carolinas honors this season and was a finalist for the league’s prestigious Murphy Osborne Awards. He also garnered second team All-Southeast Region from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA). The senior was selected Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on February 2.

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-America® program, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and participate in a specified percentage of athletic contests. The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
