Barton, North Greenville advance to semifinals of 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The quarterfinal hosts of 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship both advance to the semifinals with wins on Tuesday night. Barton College and North Greenville both posted home victories to advance to the final site.

No. 3 North Greenville No. 6 Young Harris
North Greenville got off to a hot start, scoring the first five goals of the game, two coming from Connor Castle. The Trailblazers later scored the final three goals of the first quarter to take a 9-4 lead. The scoring continued on both sides in the second quarter with North Greenville scoring four straight tallies and led 17-9 at the half.

The Trailblazer defense locked down the Young Harris offense in the second half, allowing only one goal while adding six tallies to take the contest 23-10.

Steven Huls, Jr. led North Greenville with six goals and one assist while Caden Castle handed out 10 assists to go along with four goals. Connor Castle added four goals and one assist.

North Greenville advances to face second seed Lees-McRae College in Friday's semifinal at 7:00 p.m.

No. 4 Barton No. 5 Mount Olive
The Barton offense got off to a hot start, scoring the first six goals of the contest in the opening 10 minutes. Mount Olive fought back, but Barton led 7-3 after the first quarter. Mount Olive continued to chip away, pulling within 8-6 before the Bulldogs went on another run. The Bulldogs scored the final four goals of the quarter to take a 12-6 lead at the half.

Mount Olive tried to come back in the third quarter, but Barton had an answer each time to hold a 15-9 advantage going to the final 15 minutes. Mount Olive tried to make a run late, but it wasn't enough as Barton took the contest 16-12.

Sawyer King, Marvin Johnson and Garvin Johnson all led Barton with three goals. Marvin Johnson added an assist for four points. Joshua Dewart led Mount Olive with four goals and one assist.

Barton advances to take on top seed Belmont Abbey College in Friday's semifinal at 4:00 p.m.
