GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the second straight year, Francis Marion University will host an NCAA Division II Softball Championship Regional.

The Patriots (44-11) won the Conference Carolinas Softball Championship title for the fourth straight year and will be the second seed in the southeast regional. They will host third seed Lenoir-Rhyne University (39-13), sixth seed Anderson University (38-13) and seventh seed Carson-Newman University (40-12).
Francis Marion will face Carson-Newman in the opening game of the double elimination bracket while Lenoir-Rhyne will face Anderson.
The other regional will be hosted by top seed University of North Georgia (45-8) in Dahlonega, Georgia. The Nighthawks will host fourth seed Columbus State University (35-21), fifth seed Lander University (33-19) and eighth seed Lincoln Memorial University (25-22). The opening round matchups pit North Georgia against Georgia College and Columbus State against Lander.
The 2026 NCAA Division II Softball Championship starts with regional contests from Mary 14-16 with the winners facing off in a super regional May 21-22. The championship concludes with the eight regional winners playing for the national title from May 28-June 2 at Frost Stadium and Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
