FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Logan Erickson | Belmont Abbey | Freshman | Opposite | Mission Viejo, California
Erickson played in four matches for Bemlont Abbey, averaging 4.0 kills and 1.29 digs per set. In the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Championship, he posted 10 kills and hit .625 in a semifinal win over North Greenville. He then registered 11 kills in the championship win over Mount Olive. He was named to the all-tournament team.

Erika Baalam | Young Harris | Freshman | Attack | Edmonton, Alberta
Baalam posted 17 goals and four assists in six games for Young Harris in April. She posted one goal and two assists in a win over Belmont Abbey before recording six goals in back-to-back contests. She registered six goals and one assist in a win over Virginia State before recording six goals, including the game-winner against Southern Wesleyan. In the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacross Championship, Baalam posted two goals and one assist in a semifinal win over Emmanuel before recording a goal in the championship win over Belmont Abbey.

In four games last month for Belmont Abbey, Tobin won 20 faceoffs and collected 12 ground balls. He posted five faceoff wins and three ground balls against Emmanuel, before accounting for eight faceoff wins and seven ground balls against Shorter. Tobin closed the month with seven faceoff wins and two ground balls against Barton.

Brielle George | Belmont Abbey | Freshman | Jumps/Sprints | West Palm Beach, Florida
George set a Belmont Abbey record with a high jump that cleared 1.74 meters to win the title at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships. That mark also ranks sixth in NCAA Division II.

Abe McNelly | Belmont Abbey | Freshman | Pole Vault/Multis | Collegeville, Pennsylvania
At the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships, McNelly finished runner-up in the pole vault and third in the decathlon. He cleared 4.37 meters in the pole vault and scored 575 points in the decathlon.

Gillespie went 6-0 in singles for Young Harris in April while posting a 3-3 doubles record. She earned singles wins over Shorter, King, Belmont Abbey, Lees-McRae and Erskine while topping Shorter, King and Erskine in doubles play.

Sebastian Ondas | Ferrum | Freshman | Kaierslautern, Germany
In April, Ondas went 5-1 playing at the top two flights in singles while posting a No. 2 doubles redcord of 4-2. In singles, Ondas earned wins over Francis Marion, Roanoke, King, Barton and Mount Olive. Ondas also earned doubles wins over Belmont Abbey, Roanoke, King and Barton.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Julia Moore | Young Harris | Freshman | Pitcher | Canton, Georgia
Moore made 10 appearances and five starts for Young Harris. She finished with a 1.03 ERA and 3-2 record. She tossed a shutout against Emmanuel where she allowed only one hit in five innings. She followed that with a save and a complete game in a doubleheader sweep of Shorter. Moore tossed the final two innings of game one before throwing all seven innings of game two. She then tossed all eight innings of a 6-3 win over Erskine, allowing three runs, two earned on seven hits. Moore then tossed the final inning of a 3-2 win over North Greenville to earn the save in the conference tournament.

Logan Davis | Francis Marion | Freshman | Infield | Charlotte, North Carolina
Davis, a native of Charlotte, N.C., batted .305 while tallying 18 hits, three doubles, one triple, 10 runs batted in, 13 runs scored, four walks, and two stolen bases, as the nationally-ranked Patriots posted a 13-3 record in April.Highlights of the month, Davis produced a 2-for-4 performances with a double, three RBIs, and one run scored in a 12-2 win over Wingate on April 14. In the Erskine series win, he totaled four hits, three doubles, five runs scored, one walk, and one stolen base.Davis served as the everyday shortstop and recorded a .968 fielding percentage with just two errors on 62 total chances. He also recorded 37 assists and made five double plays in 16 games.

Payson Shreeve | Ferrum | Freshman | Quarterback/Safety | Gilbert, Arizona
In the month of April, Shreeve led Ferrum to a 5-1 mark, helping the Panthers win a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title. She went 175-280 passing for 1,975 yards and 26 touchdowns. She also rushed 22 times for 114 yards and three scores. Her highest output was during Ferrum's 102-0 win on April 10 over Chowan, where she was 27-44 for 472 yards and 11 touchdowns. Shreeve added two rushes for eight yards and a score in the contest.
